The ignition switch 3 has been developed for turning on and off electronic ignitions in gasoline engines by remote control. It is suitable for all gasoline engines that have a battery-powered ignition.

The ignition switch 3 is the superior in all respects replacement for the previously used mechanical switch:

no wear
elegant shutdown of the engine from the remote control
great safety improvement by using the remote control's fail-safe function:
in case of a fault, the motor can be switched off safely and no longer pose a danger
Of course, the ignition switch is just as suitable for switching eg lighting or other consumers
The ignition switch 3 is controlled microcontroller and has an optocoupler for the separation of the two circuits receiving system - ignition.

The ignition switch 3 can be operated parallel to the gas servo in case of lack of ducts in your large model and therefore does not consume any additional receiver channel. For this purpose, the gas channel at the ignition switch 3 is looped directly to a servo plug, which in turn is then connected to the gas servo.
By adjusting the switching point and switching direction, it is now possible to set the ignition to switch off when the throttle trim is reset during idling or by switching the gas duct with an additional mixer.

The circuit has several fail-safe features that ensure that the ignition is switched off safely in emergencies. For example, the ignition is switched off if no valid receiver signal has been received for three seconds.

If the ignition is switched off, the ignition switch 3 consumes no power from the ignition battery. The plug connection to the ignition battery therefore only has to be disconnected for charging.
However, the ignition battery may remain connected to the ignition switch 3 when charging, if it is charged via a separate charging cable.

Specifications

Receiver input: 3 to 9 volts, also suitable for receivers with LiPo supply.
Switching voltage: 3 to 15 volts (3 to 10 cells NiCd or NiMh, 1 to 3 cells LiPo)
Attention: the output voltage corresponds to the input voltage! Operation only with the maximum permissible voltage of the ignition!

Max. Switching current: 5 amps.
Power consumption: approx. 12 mA / 2 mA from the receiver battery approx. 6 mA / 0 mA from the ignition battery at ignition on / off.

Threshold: arbitrarily teachable.
Switching direction: arbitrarily teachable.

Connections: 1 x XT30 socket for ignition battery.
1 x patch cable (GPN) for ignition.
1 x patch cable (GPN) to the receiver.
1 x servo connection for the gas servo (GPN / FUT).
1 x connector for external LED.
Service: green and red LED, button to teach in switching threshold and switching direction.

Dimensions: 47mm x 16mm x 8mm.
